The Datadisc is a unique and powerful way to find additional artwork that is more or less similar to other artwork on the disc.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òReach the Datadisc through the Discovery portal;
<\Break><\Indent 20> òOr by clicking on the Navigate button in the toolbar and clicking on the Datadisc thumbnail.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òThe first time at the Datadisc, Edward Hopper's "People In the Sun" is "selected."
<\Break><\Indent 20> òRoll the cursor over the datadisc to view comparisons.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òDragging an artwork thumbnail from the toolbar onto the Datadisc will cause that image to become "selected." You'll notice that it immediately appears in the spot labeled "Selected."
<\Break><\Indent 20> òEach colored square represents an object on the disc.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òThe colors approximate how closely related the work of art a square represents is to the selected artwork.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òThe key in the lower right of the Datadisc screen shows what the colors mean.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òTo identify a particular square, place the cursor over it.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òThe artwork corresponding to that square appears in the spot labeled "Comparison."
<\Break><\Indent 20> òIn the area labeled "Keywords," is a list of keywords that the two items have in common, if any.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òTo collect an artwork from the Datadisc, hold the mouse down on any squareùit will turn into a thumbnailùand drag it into the toolbar collection.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òTo identify the squares that represent artworks on the disc that you've already visited, click on "Indicate Artworks Seen."
<\Break><\Indent 20> òSquares representing previously viewed artworks will be grayed back.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òTo restore all items to equal brightness, click on "Show All Artworks."<\Break><\Break>
